Richard Romagnoli has been a photographer and photographic retoucher for over 30 years. Originally using film and darkroom techniques, he then progressed into the graphic arts industry, working with color separated films. In 1987 he began working with Scitex mainframe computers. As a representative of Scitex, he traveled across the country teaching digital retouching techniques. With the advance of digital cameras and desktop computers, he perfected his skills using his own advanced digital equipment. Today he specializes in product, fashion and location photography, and his eye-catching images can be seen in magazine ads, catalogs, web sites and displays. He also enjoys using his digital skills to create the limited edition, fine art prints in the Photographic Art galleries.
Richard’s retouching specialties include expert cosmetic work, precise color correction, complex masking and compositing, RAW conversions, color separations and image optimization for print and web. His extensive list of international clients include top ad agencies, photographers, publishers, designers and music companies. Richard has spent most of his career working in Manhattan for his many demanding Madison Avenue clients. As the internet became powerful enough to transfer high resolution images, he began working freelance from his state-of-the-art home studio.
